Air-con got problem - Tobisha Carrier SUCKS!

It was a frustrating day.....was home whole day waiting for the air-con technician to come. Appointment was confirmed yesterday.

Imaging my shock when I called this afternoon and was told that they need to check and will call me back. 30 mins gone and never hear from them.

Call again and was told that there was no schedule of appointment for us!! HUH ??

After making noise, they says they will try to arrange 1 for us and will call us back in 10 mins. This time, they did and say they managed to fit one in.

Wife was very upset and says how can they do such things and after much bargaining, they agree to check our air-con free.

Ours was only slightly more than a year old and checks showed that there was not enough gas - a sign that it was leaking....

Asked the technician if he can top up the gas for us and the answer is yes BUT the problem will come back again soon (a week, a month maybe a year) and it may also cause damage to the compressor. In any case, he did not have the gas with him!!

Only way is to do a leak test to find out and fixed the leak. Well, seems logical...

Called their office and was told it will cost $ 400.00 just to do the test. Since compressor still under warranty, ask why we have to pay.

Told that leaks normally occur from the piping (which they are not responsible) and so must pay or no talk.....

After pressing, the supervisor came on line and suggest that we can top up the gas. When asked if that will cause problems.......complete silence........When I told him what the technician told me and ask for his opinion, silence.........

Press him for a yes or no answer (if it will cause further damage to the compressor), again silence.....and finally evaded the question by trying to explain how smart the system was and will sound the alarm etc....

Too boring by now and ask him - you are holding us at ransom right ? Either we pay or don't use the air-con and treat it like a piece of decoration ?

Guess what he says..... YES

Hang up the phone as no point talking to such an idoit!

Toshiba Carrier - you SUCKS ! Will not want to buy your air-con system ever again.

Mas Selamat escaped liao

The Committee of Inquiry's findings on Mas Selamat Kastari's escape, has been released Monday (April 21) in Parliament by Deputy Prime Minister and Home Affairs Minister Wong Kan Seng in response to questions from Members of Parliament.

Lim Kopi salute the DPM for releasing the report. A lot of courage is needed to release the report that shows (at least to Mr Lim Kopi) that the lapses are nothing but silly!

One of the silly lapses such as having no grill on the toilet ventilator where detainees do use them is beyond Mr Lim Kopi's comprehension.....

The grills are not there because of mis-communication with the contractors. Nothing can be worst than the decision to saw off the handle instead of rectifying the mis-communication I.E. fixed that grill! This was (to Mr Lim Kopi) the only and obvious rectification!

So, PM Lee is right when he said that
ministers shouldn't be automatically removed for lapses down the line.

But the person who made such a mistake should be held accountable. Something which the government says they will do.

It is heartening to see the PM standing firming behind the DPM and clearly stating his support for the DPM.

Well, it shows that we have a strong leader who will stand up for his generals in a war. A good leader who do what he thinks is right and will back it up.

So guys, count your blessings that we have a good leader and don't waste time thirsting for blood.....

Let's focus on helping to recapture Mas Selamat and the least we can do is to pray for his soonest arrest.
